Meet Oliver

Today I'd like to introduce Oliver!

I was hoping this would be my second post, but we still aren't feeling well and I needed to take the time to gather some photos. I've just been using my phone to take photos for now because I can't seem to figure out our darn camera!

 Oliver is my first baby boy and he was born on January 11, 2014. My due date was January 3rd, but he wasn't ready to make his grand appearance. The last trimester of my pregnancy was absolutely miserable because of his size, but I will forever miss being pregnant and experiencing the feeling of becoming a mother for the first time. I was induced with this guy on January 10th and I labored for 30+ hours which ended in a c-section after a couple of hours of pushing. When he was finally born he weighed in at 9lb 10oz and he was 23" long! If I could do it all over again, I would choose to skip the induction and let my body progress naturally, but I'm just thankful that I have a very healthy boy!

I'm sure you will begin learning about Oliver as I post more, but I will start by saying that this boy has taught me how to be a mother and how to love unconditionally. He was such a sweet baby from the day he was born. He rarely ever cried because he was too busy smiling, but as soon as he turned one-year-old he turned into a wild little beast! This kid cannot sit for more than two minutes and he loves keeping me on my toes by teasing his little brother when I'm not looking.  For the past few months he has been using his toddler attitude to remind me that he will be turning two soon, but his tantrums can usually be defused with a little chocolate milk and an episode of "Daniel Tiger's Neighborhood." 

Every day I wonder how my little boy is growing up so fast right in front of my eyes and I look forward to spending the rest of my life with this dude!
