Meet Elliott

I introduced Oliver yesterday, so today I'd like you to know a little bit about his little brother, Elliott!
I was so surprised to be pregnant with Elliott. About five months after giving birth to Oliver I just had a weird feeling that I couldn't shake; I felt like I was pregnant! I took a test and the two pink lines revealed themselves immediately. I was about 5 weeks pregnant and I felt scared because I didn't know how was I supposed to be a mom to two kids when I was busy learning how to be a mom for the first time. I felt excited because, well, babies are so cute and I could totally handle double cuddles. And, last, I felt embarrassed because it was not my plan to have two pregnancies back to back and I was so nervous to announce that I was pregnant again. Oops!

Being pregnant with Elliott wasn't nearly as hard as my first pregnancy with Oliver because I knew what to expect, but I still got excited every time we hit a preggo milestone. I felt pregnant a lot faster with this guy and someone even noticed my baby bump at only 12 weeks. By 18 weeks I could feel him fluttering around and I fell deeper in love because the pregnancy finally felt real. I wanted to have a vaginal birth after cesarean (VBAC) with this guy but, unfortunately, my local hospital does not support VBACs so another c-section it was! My due date was February 25th, but my second beautiful son arrived on February 18th, 2015. He was 8lb. 8oz. and 21" long. He was born into lots of laughter as he was peeing all over the doctor and nurses! I still can't believe he came out with a head full of long ginger hair!

Elliott is the complete opposite of his brother in every way. Since the day he was born he's been on the difficult side because he's loud and fussy. The doctor mentioned that he has a touch of colic, but I don't mind because he is the biggest momma's boy and he is soo cuddly. One of the main things people notice about Elliott is his passion for food and his lovable personality. I can't wait for my little dude to start walking around and really transitioning into a toddler! I know it will be tough, but I'm ready for the challenge.
